My Journey to Floral Design

My first dream career from when I was twelve-years-old was to become a wedding planner.

Looking back, I think what really appealed to me was the idea of helping others on a very special and happy day in their lives. Helping with their visual idea of what they wanted their wedding day to look and feel like and then bringing it to a reality made me excited.

As life progressed, I dabbled a little in the industry of wedding planning but it did not align at the time with family and other work commitments.

I believe that everything happens for a reason and although I did not follow that initial dream, it has lead me to play a small role in the wedding scene with floral design as I find a better balance with family and career.

The entire process of getting to know the couple, looking at their Pinterest vision board, selecting the flowers, communicating with the bride, and finally creating the actual arrangements really fulfills my creative and organizational desires.

This has turned out to be a great side gig and it just feels "right" during this season of life.
